Mine sat for two weeks this summer while I was vacationing (sans Savage, too bad), and when I came home, the carb was a real mess. It had to be taken apart and put back together after a thorough cleaning. Mechanic told me that sitting two weeks is long enough to gum it up. Drain the carb if you think it going to sit, is what he told me.
So far, into this mild winter, I've gotten out at least twice a week. Pretty chilly driving home from work in the dark though.
